Abstract
Relevance. The problems of infectious pathology and today have not lost their relevance. Infectious diseases, including new ones, are a threat to humanity, as they cause one third of the total annual mortality in the world. Objectives. To study the current problems of infectious pathology in Republic of Tyva and the reasons for high morbidity rates.
Materials and methods. The data of the annual statistical report of infectious disease specialists of Republic of Tyva (Form 2 “Information on infectious and parasitic diseases”) and outpatient records of patients registered in the dispensary office were analyzed.
Results. The Republic of Tuva has consistently high annual incidence rates for a number of infectious diseases, and is also an endemic region for brucellosis, tick-borne infections, chronic viral hepatitis, and acute intestinal infections, with incidence rates higher than in the Russian Federation. For chronic hepatitis C, the incidence rates in Tuva are lower than in the Russian Federation and the Siberian Federal District due to low detection of the disease. The most affected group is adults from 40 to 70 years of age and the gender structure is dominated by women 57.8%. Annually in Republic of Tyva there are high mortality rates from diseases of digestive organs, including 50% of liver cirrhosis (including 35% of liver cirrhosis of viral etiology B, C, D).
Conclusions. The main goal remains elimination of chronic hepatitis C and reduction of incidence rates of chronic hepatitis B with Delta hepatitis. It is necessary to strengthen the work on laboratory and clinical diagnostics in Central Kozhuun Hospitals of Republic of Tyva, to improve the quality of medical care for patients with infectious diseases by district pediatricians, prevention of infectious diseases (informing the population about compliance with sanitary and epidemiological regime starting from infancy, the importance of vaccine prophylaxis) and improving the quality of telemedicine and medical care for patients with infectious pathologies (viral hepatitis, HIV infections, acute respiratory viral infections, acute respiratory viral infections, acute respiratory viral infections, and acute respiratory viral infections).
